FHU has given me so many opportunities to become a leader in a way that I can capitalize on my strengths, but also notice areas for improvement and work on those areas in a low-risk environment. I have learned I can enact change that I would have never thought myself capable before. In my time at FHU, I have experienced leadership in many ways including through Makin Music, the Honors College, Alpha Chi Honors Society, the TEACH education professional club, but the most impactful to me was when I started my own student-run nonprofit and learned that leadership cannot be present without service. The possibilities to lead and to serve are endless because the support is endless.
The talents I bring to FHU are in music. I am currently a member of chorale, as well as a member of a club show for Makin Music, and in the Showband for Makin Music. I do lots of song-leading at my home congregation and can lead in a musical way. All of this comes to show the talents I bring to FHU.
