Now that I am in my last year at FHU, as an Elementary Education major, I am student teaching this semester. It has been encouraging to see the ways that I have grown as a teacher from when I first got here until now. The amount of in-classroom experience that we are all able to have is a huge support in making one comfortable and confident in their ability to teach. I remember thinking when I was a freshman how there was no way that I would ever feel truly confident in myself standing in front of students to teach them, and now it's one of my most favorite things to do & something that brings me joy. This semester has been bittersweet for me to be able to see these past 3 years come to fruition in my student teaching!
Lee Barton was my Anatomy Lab professor for two semesters. When I asked for help he did everything he could do to help me succeed. He is just one of the amazing professors here at FHU that does this with their students. All you have to do is ask for help, and there is no shame in that. One of the main reasons why I love FHU.
